i mention occupy wall street to someone via a facebook status. several people don’t know what i am talking about. i remain calm and respectful and post articles and videos. response: “so someone got arrested for no reason? that’s it?” my response: “it’s much deeper than that. you should definitely do some research and learn the history that led up to these events.” their response: “im asking you to just tell me and save me the time. if you already know just say it.” save you the time? seriously? this frustrates me and saddens me. a lot. what happened to the thirst for knowledge? what happened to caring about your fellow stranger? do people realize that what goes on in the government and economy directly affect them? we need to just start shipping people to mars to fend for themselves.

just simple conversation with you in the morning fills me up and it overflows all over my clothes and sheets and floor so i’m just slipping and sliding in my admiration of you for the rest of the day until it dries up and happens again
